You don’t need to be fit or flexible to practice yoga. You don’t need fancy clothes. You don’t ‘need’ anything. Yoga means ‘to yoke’ - to join mind, body and spirit. Anyone can practice yoga either at home or by joining a studio or class. The age, shape, weight and fitness of our members and teachers is as wide ranging as the age, shape, weight and fitness of the population. Never feel that yoga isn’t for you. Yoga is for every body.

Some people prefer a stronger, more physically challenging style of yoga, and others prefer a gentle, slower paced practice, and of course there is that middle ground of no extreme. Whatever you think your preferred practice style is, we always advise to try as many of our classes as you can. There are times when a hot, fast paced class may be exactly what you need, but equally there are times when you should listen to your body and slow right down. Balance is key.

Hot Yoga

Hot yoga is the practice of yoga and the integration of body, breath and mind in a heated room. During a hot yoga class you will perform a series of yoga postures with the intention of increasing strength, balance, flexibility and mental focus. The classes also promote deep relaxation and detoxification of the body and mind. Booking is essential. Contact us or book a class here.


All of our classes are beginner friendly. Some you may find more physically challenging than others (Hot Power Yoga or Ashtanga Vinyasa for example), others you may find more mentally challenging; committing to the stillness and quiet of Yin yoga can be an unexpected challenge for some. Please know that there is usually at least one new person in any class, that everyone else in class is focusing on their own practice and that everyone was new to yoga and/or our studio at some point. This is a friendly, welcoming, unpretentious place. If you’re not sure which class to start with, either contact us and we’ll be happy to recommend a class for you, or just book on to a random class and see how you feel after it!
